General information
Background: The Kenley Primary School log books date back to 1885, but the present school opened in 1936. Children are grouped on the basis of age into seven classes. The school has a well-equipped library, a computer suite and separate dining hall. There are additional computers in each classroom. The site includes a playing field of considerable size, bordered by trees and grassy slopes and two hard surface playground areas. In 2001 the school went into private partnership with Southern Childcare Facilities Ltd. who opened a private nursery on the site. The school offers its children an opportunity to learn to play the recorder, violin or flute. In sports children take part in small team games. The school takes part in the small schools football and netball league. The school aims to enable all children to experience success and to strive for excellence. .
