Background: Lodge School is located on three neighbouring sites, or 'Lodges', each closely linked, with many shared facilities. All students are encouraged to take part in sports and games. There are many clubs and teams to join for students of all abilities and interests. .
Inspection: May 2004: 'Lodge School is distinguished by its exceptional ethos: all pupils are known, valued and cared for as unique individuals in an atmosphere characterised by warmth and good humour. Inspired by the principal, the staff, both teaching and non-teaching, are fully dedicated to the educational welfare of the pupils. Pupils achieve good standards academically in relation to their ages and abilities and their personal development is strong. The school meets almost all the regulatory requirements.'
