General information

Background: Bolton Primary is a two-class school situated in a small village. The school buildings are relatively new, having replaced the original Victorian buildings in the 1960s. They comprise of two 'well-equipped' classrooms, one for each class (infant and junior). There is also a hall used for collective worship, music, infant PE, lunches and group work. The school is located in 'extensive' grounds which include infant and junior playgrounds and a sports field. It is proud of its 'rich and varied' curriculum and offers a range of extra-curricular activities which include a computer club, netball and football clubs, guitar, recorder, clarinet and flute tuition, school productions and residential visits. Bolton Primary also has 'strong links' with the local community, especially with the local church, All Saints, Bolton. The children visit the local bowls club twice termly, bringing cakes and savouries baked by parents with small groups of children on a Friday afternoon. The school also supports a variety of charities.
