General information

Background: Braithwaite is a Church of England Primary School for pupils? aged three to 11 years. The school is situated in the attractive village of Braithwaite. It has a wonderful setting in the northern heart of the Lake District nestling between Skiddaw, Grisedale Pike and Derwent Water. The school is surrounded by some of Britain?s most beautiful mountains, lakes, woods, streams and valleys. Dance, team games, swimming and athletics are included in the long-term programme of study. The school participates in a large number of local events as well as running clubs. The school has extensive playing fields within the school grounds as well as immediate access to the local fells, valleys, woods and rivers. It provides a wide range of Extra-curricular clubs and musical experiences. The school has won the Keswick Schools Design and Technology Challenge. The school aims to provide a caring and happy Christian environment where all individuals are able to fulfil their potential whatever their talents. .
