General information

Background: Abbey Junior School was opened in 1957. The school has a strong musical tradition and offers orchestra, choir and recorder lessons to all children. Extra-curricular clubs include French, football, cricket, netball and dance. The school supports local charities on a daily basis and holds a large-scale fund-raising event for charity every two years. There is a New Information and Communications Technology suite, video conferencing facilities and PC access for all children. The school has its own prayer book and a science hour is being developed.
