General information

Background: Littleover Community School Founded in 1949. It is situated four miles southwest of Derby City, in semi-rural surroundings. There are ten specialist science laboratories and six fully networked computer rooms. A sixth form, The Millennium Centre opened in September 1999. School teams regularly compete in football, hockey, netball, cricket and athletics, with many pupils representing both city and county. There are regular music and drama events, and links with the East of England Orchestra. The school became a specialist science and mathematics college in September 2003. The school aims to encourage independence, determination and high self-esteem, together with concern for other people and for the environment.
