General information

Background: Apperknowle Community Primary School is a county school, in its one hundred and thirty first year, administered and maintained by Derbyshire county council. It is a co-educational, day primary school with children from five to 11. The school aims to provide broad and balanced curriculum. Computers are used to develop word processing skills, data handling and design. Specific programmes are used to support cross-curricular teaching. There are regular opportunities to take part in concerts and plays through the year. All children are encourages to work well within a team cooperating with others and to use initiative. The school aims to offer a happy, safe and secure environment in a family atmosphere.
