General information

Background: Built in 1889, the school is housed in a Victorian brick building and offers a playing field and wildlife area. A new extra classroom is 'to be built soon'. There are 'many' after school clubs, and the school competes in the area's sports events. It also organises two to three residential visits every year. Park House has 'very strong' parental support including its parent-teacher association. Park House was the first Derbyshire primary school to be awarded the Basic Skills Agency Quality Mark in 1999. The school describes its subscription levels as 'spot on planned intake level but already we have more applications than places for 2000/2001'. .
