Background: Braunton School and Community College is located in the heart of North Devon. It has been a Mathematics and Computing specialist school for the last two years. The school offers a wide range of extra-curricular clubs and activities that take place during lunchtime and after-school. These include school band and orchestra, computer club, Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, environment club, art club, chess club and drama club. All major sports are taught including football, rugby, hockey, basketball, netball and athletics. The school also arranges theatre visits, art gallery visits, ski trip and foreign exchange visits. There is a Friends Association made up of parents and staff at the school that organises a range of fundraising activities and events. The school aims to provide a safe, pleasant and stimulating environment where it seeks to enable every pupil to be confident, responsible and caring individuals. .
