General information
Background: Exmouth Community College was formed as an ?all through? comprehensive school in September 1967 by the amalgamation of two adjacent county secondary schools ? one for boys and one for girls ? and a co-educational grammar school. The college buildings are on two sited about 50 metres apart. In 1997 a purpose-built 16-classroom block was opened on Green Close. It also has extensive ICT facilities, new science laboratories and specialist rooms for all subjects. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. These activities include art, drama, music and dance, theme park visits, rock climbing and caving. The college aims to provide a safe, secure and non-threatening environment in which students develop consideration for others, self-discipline and positive relationships. .
