General information

Background: Ivybridge Community College was included in the Chief Inspector of Schools Annual Report as one of the best schools in Britain. The college started as a Secondary Modern School in 1956 and became a Community College in the 1970's. A new Millenium Building opened in September 1999 to accommodate growing numbers of pupils. The Sports Facilities are extensive and the college has Sports College Status. It has also achieved a Schools Curriculum Award, and was a winner in the Times Education Supplement Schools of the Year Awards.
