General information

Background: Sandford School is a primary school for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is four to 11 and committed to provide a rich and broad curriculum which covers all national curriculum requirements. It also seeks to offer children opportunities for exploring and developing an awareness of themselves and their place in the local community, as well as a growing understanding of their place in the wider world. Personal, social and health education therefore lies at the heart of the curriculum at Sandford. It also offers opportunities for children to develop interests and strengths both within the curriculum and outside the school day. It aims to teach the skills children will need for a wide range of physical activities both within school and beyond that they will enjoy throughout their lives. The curriculum of the school includes soccer skills, tag rugby, netball, cricket, athletics and swimming. .
