Background: Burton Bradstock is a Voluntary Controlled, Church of England school. The school is owned and funded by Dorset County Council and administered and controlled by the Dorset Education Partnership - the Local Education Authority, and managed by the Governing Body in conjunction with the Headteacher and staff. Burton Bradstock is a rural primary school taking children from the parishes of Burton Bradstock, Shipton Gorge and Chilcombe. It covers the age range of four-11 years and most children progress to Sir John Colfox School in Bridport. This part of the curriculum includes gymnastics, games, swimming, athletics and dance. Sporting activities includes: football and cricket.
