Background: The Gryphon School is a popular, successful and enthusiastically inclusive school that serves Sherborne and the surrounding rural community. The school was established 13 years ago in brand new accommodation that has been well maintained and provides an excellent learning environment. The schools? Business and Enterprise Conference Centre is completed, providing state-of-the-art facilities. The curriculum offered to the pupils at key stage four is widely acknowledged across the South West as being exemplary. Their thriving school and year councils oversee charity and fundraising events as well as addressing key issues in the welfare of students such as mentoring and student support. The school is well known for their music and drama productions and was the first state school to undertake the production of Les Miserables. The school offers every student the chance to find their strengths and build upon them, preparing every individual for life beyond school. The school aims to provide a centre for excellence in the heart of the community within a happy, secure and safe environment.
