General information

Background: The School is situated in the village of No Place, just off the A963, between Chester-le-Street and Stanley. It lies closely to the famous Beamish Open Air Museum and is able to become involved in museum activities, as well as using the museum as a resource for history topics. The school?s building was 90 years old in 2001. Since it was built the school has had a Nursery Unit added and there have been a number of alterations to other parts of the building. The school now has three main classrooms, a central library area, a large hall and an extra classroom as well as the nursery unit. It has a large yard and playing field. The nursery unit shares some facilities with the main school but has its own garden and play area. The school aims to give the children a varied and wide ranging experience of competitive sports. The school makes use of many resources in order to develop the education of the children in the school, among these are regular school visits funded through parental donations and school fund. The school aims to provide a happy, secure and stimulating environment in which each pupil has the opportunity to fulfil his or her potential appropriate to his or her abilities and development, both as an individual and as a member of a group. .
