General information

Background: Greencroft, founded originally in 1964 as the Grammar Technical School for central Derwentside and Lanchester. The building programme created accommodation and facilities of the highest quality and enabled the refinement and reorganisation of the whole school to the benefit of the learning environment. All departments are suited with fixed, high quality modern resources such as the learning resource centre, four other computer suites, and first class laboratory, sports and creative arts facilities. The school seeks to develop the best in every pupil. The school fosters the development of self-reliance, responsibility and consideration for others through the ethos of the school.
