General information

Background: Edward Betham is a Voluntary Aided Church of England School for boys and girls aged three to 11 years. It is a two-form entry school with classes of mixed ability. The school site is split with the junior department on one side of the road and Infant and Nursery departments on the other. The curriculum follows the national curriculum framework and programmes of required study. There are various after school and lunch-time clubs which are offered to enrich the curriculum and to provide other opportunities for the children to excel and enjoy learning. These clubs include football, netball, badminton, junior choir, recorder groups and drama. The school also has close connections with Holy Cross Church and its youth organisations. Class trips and activities are organised throughout the year. The school has an active parents-teachers group, which organises social and fund raising activities for the school community throughout the year. .
