General information

Background: Montpelier opened in 1957 in a 'pleasant' residential area of Ealing close to Montpelier Park. The purpose-built premises are equipped with two halls, an IT suite, four playgrounds, a music room and two libraries. In Year 6, children start learning French which they have the chance to practice on an optional residential trip to an activity centre in France. In Year 5, pupils have the opportunity of going to the Isle of Wight for a six-day school trip. All classes from Years 1 to 6 have one outing per term. Clubs before and after school offer parents additional flexibility and pupils a range of extra-curricular activities. The school has a 'proud record' in sports and music and is oversubscribed, with 120 applicants for 80 places in reception.
