General information
Background: The foundation of the first building designated as Kilmarnock Academy was laid on 25 June 1807 and was opened on 26 April 1808. The accommodation in the school consists of three main teaching blocks, all linked by internal corridors. In addition there is a separate physical education block that consists of games halland two gymnasiums. The school sports field is located one mile from the school. The school offers a varied program of activities, which include athletics, chess, cross-country, dance club, football, golf, hockey, netball, orchestra, rugby, volleyball, brass ensemble and choir. .
