Background: Kilmaurs Primary School is situated in the village of Kilmaurs just north of Kilmarnock. The building, on its present site, has a very central location within the village. The school is a non-denominational, co-educational establishment. The school has nine classrooms, learning support room/medical room, discovery room, art room, music and drama room, library and gymnasium. Additional accommodation comprises three offices, a staff room and janitor?s office. The school offers a range of after-school and lunch clubs including football, volleyball, athletics, sewing, relaxation and bible club. The school strives to create an atmosphere of care and trust where children feel valued.
