General information
Background: The school has very good morale, with a sense of community and whole school teamwork, in addition to recognition of success and high pupil motivation. The current building was opened in 1986, and some renovation work was carried out in 1998. Located on the outskirts of Stewarton, the school is housed in one building, with adjacent playing fields. Some of the school's more prominent facilities include an attractive and well-resourced library, a gymnasium, a lecture theatre and computing facilities. The school offers a healthy range of extra-curricular activities in sports, arts, excursions and clubs. Pupil participation is encouraged through regular inter-house activities. The senior wind band has won national recognition and forms part of a very strong tradition in music. Pupils are also encouraged to participate in the community and a charities committee exists to raise funds for local, national and international organisations. .
