Background: Tranent is a co-educational, non-denominational primary school. In addition to normal classroom accommodation the school has a fully equipped gymnasium, central library, a computer suite equipped with 16 networked computers, and a resource centre. The school has a music room, which is also timetabled for drama and other activities. The school also benefits from a well resourced learning support base and a support base for pupils with special needs.
