General information

Background: Founded in 1984, St Ninian's is a Catholic school serving range of communities in East Renfrewshire and Glasgow. The school has access to well-equipped resource centre containing school library, careers library and computers that have filtered access to internet. Team of pupils designs and maintains school's website as part of extra-curricular activities programme that also includes basketball, football, rugby, a ceilidh band, debating, public-speaking, chess and yearbook committee. The school has achieved Quality Scotland Award in 1999 for efforts to promote positive attitudes, enterprise, independent thinking, personal and social skills and was also an overall winner for organisations in both public and private sectors. Pupils are encouraged to raise money for charity. Ethos: 'The school aims to provide a supportive, well-ordered, attractive and well-resourced environment for all who use the school.' .
