Background: Bourne County Primary is situated in the heart of Eastbourne, just 200 metres from the sea. It is housed in a former secondary school building, which provides 'spacious' classrooms, a gym, hall, all-weather surface pitch and an ITC suite. Bourne provides a 'full, broad and balanced' curriculum, putting emphasis on the arts, humanities and sport, as well as the key skills of literacy, numeracy, science and information technology. The school has developed a 'well earned reputation' for the performing arts, its sporting activities and support for pupils with special needs.
