The school aims to encourage student participation in a wide range of extra-curricular activities. Bridlington School is voluntary controlled and provides through the foundation governors scholarships, bursaries and prizes, assistance for many students going on to Higher Education or training. The plays most games, including soccer, hockey, netball, rugby, cricket, basketball, badminton, tennis, dance, rock climbing and aerobics. Athletics, gymnastics and cross-country running and other popular sporting activities. Matches are arranged on a regular basis with other schools in the district.
