General information

Background: Cherry Burton Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School is a primary school for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is five to 11. The original building was opened in 1965, extended in 1973, with a further detached purpose-built unit added in 1974. The upper junior classrooms are situated around larger resource and activity areas whilst the lower junior and infant rooms are self-contained and have direct access to the hall and outside areas. There is now a purpose- built ICT Suite in the main school building with 15 computers. The sport activities include football, netball, cricket, drama, computers, wildlife, orchestra and dance. Occasional matches are organised against other schools. .
