General information

Background: Eastrington School is a primary co-educational day school for children aged four to 11. Its building work currently completed to add sixth classroom and sports hall. It provides wide range of extra-curricular activities including judo, netball, violin, recorder, ICT, Design Technology, choir, dance and football. School works closely with village residents and wider community and makes contribution to village magazine and constantly in local newspapers. Six children from Nigeria spent a week in the school in July 2006, building on previously-established links; return visit planned for 2007. Health Promoting School status; NAACE mark for Information Communication Technology. Beacon status (2002); Schools Curriculm Award; Activemark (2006). Ethos: 'A small village school, with a warm, friendly, open and happy atmosphere. All visitors comment on how welcoming the school is.' .
