Background: Corstorphine Primary School was founded in 1646. The existing buildings are close to where the original school was built. Most classes are housed in a Victorian building which has been added to from time to time in a fairly random way. This makes for an interesting interior, with traditional classroom units. The nursery class, with its own garden and play area, is also housed in a transportable unit. The school offers specialist teaching in physical education and music. Instrumental tuition is available for older children and there are a variety of after-school clubs. .
