Background: East Craigs is a non-denominational primary school, which was built in 1978. It is situated in the Corstorphine area of North West Edinburgh. The catchment area comprises significant areas of owner occupied housing and the school has extensive playing fields attached. The original school building has 14 class bases, a gym hall, a television room, a music room and a learning support room. The school also has a new purpose-built nursery block. The school aims to provide a welcoming, safe and caring environment which promotes personal and social development and enhances academic achievement.
