General information

Background: The school was built in 1982; the school has a semi-open plan design, which encourages a friendly atmosphere whilst still providing classes with privacy to work. The teaching spaces are set round two central spaces - a 'small' hall and a pottery area. Cloakrooms and toilets are situated near each class and the children enter and leave the school through these doors. The school has two halls, which are used for assemblies, physical education, music, drama and dance. The larger of the two is equipped as a gymnasium and is also used as a dining area at lunchtimes. Spiritual growth is valued alongside academic, physical and emotional development. Information and communication technology is now fundamental to its lives at home and at work. Children are taught gymnastics and a wide range of skills leading to team and partner games. Children are also offered the opportunity to learn to swim. The school aims to provide a safe, caring and supportive environment, which will enable all children to develop their individual talents, realise their full potential and feel confident and secure.
