General information

Background: Ingrave Johnstone Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School is situated in the village of Ingrave two miles from Brentwood in Essex. The school was opened in 1913. There are seven classrooms, an assembly hall, a small hall, two libraries, a resources room, a computer suite, a separate dining hall and kitchen, and an adjacent playing field. Religious Education at the school is in accordance with the Diocesan Syllabus for aided schools and pupils whose parents opt for their children to attend this school are normally expected to participate fully in the Religious Education and worship of the school. It provides wide range of extra-curricular activities, which include football, netball, cross-country, dance, gymnastics, cricket, athletics, short tennis, rounders, craft club, choir, recorders, ICT and sign language. The school is a Christian supportive school. The School aims to ensure that all children reach their full potential in terms of academic achievement, aesthetic appreciation and spiritual awareness within a caring Christian community, and to equip them for their next stage of development.
