General information
Background: The school was founded in 1588 by Dane Joyce Frankland. In past 10 years the following facilities has been added in the school: hockey pitch, science and technology centre, sixth form centre, music suite, new language classrooms and clubhouse. The schools? 35-acres site includes an extensive playing field and a brand new sports hall. The school won a DfES School Achievement Award in 2003. The school also provides sports activities such as football, rugby, cricket, hockey, netball and athletics. The school is friendly and caring. The school is modern and up-to-date in its teaching, but is underpinned by 400 years of traditional values. Newport parents association gives great support to the school. .
