General information

Background: Parsons Heath Church of England Primary School was founded in 1889 to provide education according to the principles and practices of the Church of England. The present school was opened in 1996 to serve the housing estates developing in the area. The building was designed to contain seven individual classrooms. There is also a large assembly hall equipped for physical education, plus a playing field and a heated outdoor swimming pool. Recent modernisations and developments including a new ICT area and suite, new special educational needs area, changing rooms and car park. The school has good sports facilities, which includes a large playing field, a netball court/hard surface playground and hall for activities such as gym. Various activities are offered according to the season and availability of staff. These include football, drama, netball and country dance clubs. The school concentrates on games, dance, gymnastics during the autumn and summer terms with a greater emphasis on swimming, athletics and outdoor games in the summer term. The school aims to provide a safe, well-ordered, stimulating and caring environment. .
