Background: Easter Carmuirs is a non-denominational primary school situated in Camelon on the outskirts of Falkirk, very near to the Falkirk Wheel. The school was built in 1961 and has large classrooms providing generous accommodation. It is well resourced with a range of modern educational textbooks and materials to interest and motivate pupils. The school has rich information and communication technology resources, with a computer suite and a school network providing computers in every classroom. A large hall with a stage is also equipped as a gymnasium. The recently refurbished library is stocked with a large collection of new books. The school also has a nursery that provides opportunities for children to develop a wide variety of personal and social skills through carefully planned activities. The school offers a variety of after-school clubs. These include football club, cooking club and French club. .
