Background: Glenrothes High School is a six year comprehensive serving the central and northern parts of Glenrothes. The school has two gymnasiums and a swimming pool. There are extensive playing fields with provision for football, rugby, hockey and cricket as well as a running track and tennis courts. The school aims to create a climate of mutual trust among pupils and staff so that each member of the community feels valued. .
