General information

Background: Due to the increase in population of Inverkeithing and the surrounding area, a new school was needed. Therefore, a new site was chosen on the northwest side of Inverkeithing. Work began in 1970 and it was completed two years later. For the first month - before the official opening - the students and staff moved in. The building was officially opened on Monday 17 June 1973 by HRH Princess Alexandra. The school is held in exceptionally high regard by much of the surrounding area. It has the best track record in the area and prides itself on the facilities it provides to students. A very high standard physical department with its own swimming pool, gymnasium, basketball courts and many other areas. A very high standard computing department with many rooms fully equipped with computers and other digital equipment including digital cameras. The school aims to create a disciplined and enjoyable environment in which effective learning and teaching can take place. .
