General information

Background: The school was founded over 100 years ago. It aims to 'provide a secure caring environment which will enable children to develop mentally, physically, spiritually and culturally'. A 'broad and balanced' curriculum is offered, based on the core subjects of the National Curriculum. The school aims to ensure that pupils have 'inter-related experiences in the National Curriculum subjects and Religious education'. A range of extra-curricular activities is offered according to the season and interests of individual teachers. These include gymnastics, art, embroidery, literature, drama, rugby, and netball. Professional football coaching is also available.
