Background: Hillpark is a non-denominational, co-educational, comprehensive school taking pupils from S1 to S6. In addition to standard teaching rooms, Hillpark has excellent specialist accommodation for art, home economics, technical, gymnasia, games hall, swimming pool and a fitness suite. In addition substantial investment in technology means the school now has nine fully equipped computer suites ? four in business studies, four in computing studies, one in technical and the internet suite/learning centre in the school library. The outdoor facilities include two football pitches and a hockey pitch immediately adjacent to the school. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. These include basketball, football, badminton, gymnastics, ski club, netball abd swimming. The school aims to provide a safe, stimulating and secure environment in which teaching and learning can take place with confidence.
