General information

Background: Smithycroft Secondary is a six-year comprehensive school providing the full range of secondary education for girls and boys. It is non-denominational and welcomes pupils of all reigious persuasions. The school is located in Smithycroft Road which runs parallel to Cumbernauld Road. The building consists of a classroom block, a `practical` block where the art, home economics, science and technical rooms are located and a wing housing a games hall and two gymnasia. The school has a resource centre with 30 ICT stations, six other ICT suites and a street area that is the hub of the school where pupils are encouraged to mingle and socialise at break times and during lunch. There are two multi-purpose pitches at the front of the school. The school sits on an attractive landscaped surroundings. The school aims to offer a happy, safe and secure environment in a family atmosphere. .
