Background: St Andrew's RC Secondary is situated in the Carntyne area of Glasgow's revitalised east end. The school is a new building and is one of the best resourced in Glasgow. The combination of community and educational cooperation is strongly developed in St Andrew's RC Secondary and is evident in its excellent record of exam success. The school presently caters for around 1650 students, delivering a broad and balanced curriculum with examination expectations and actual performance in all subjects high. The school aims to promote the highest quality of teaching and learning with equality of learning for all with educational opportunities maximised, including the development of enterprise skills. .
