General information

Background: Archway is a comprehensive school where students of all abilities and backgrounds learn to live and work together. It is a well-equipped school with science laboratories, specialist art, technology and music rooms, drama hall and studio and specialist accommodation for sixth form students. The school has also superb sports facilities including large sports hall, gymnasium, heated indoor swimming pool, dance studio, fitness suite and extensive outdoor pitches. The school encourages its students to join extra-curricular clubs and representative teams. It also competes in athletics, basketball, cricket, hockey, dance, gymnastics, swimming and volleyball. Many of its students participate in a range of activities, which includes Christmas Pantomime, Spring Show, Summer and Chamber Concerts, set text and examination performances. Residential visits are also organised to both in county and abroad to enhance the curriculum. The school aims to offer all students a supportive and secure environment where they can face the challenges of high personal expectations and learn to appreciate the aspirations of their peers. .
