General information

Background: Chipping Campden School founded in 1440 and renamed Chipping Campden School in 1965. The school is one of the oldest schools in the country. The school consist of grammar school building and 1965 extensions. Within the last eight years the school has added a new technology centre, dual use sports centre, library extension and extra drama studio in 2002. The school opened an impressive art, music centre and in 2003 a new sixth form centre. Charity work figures highly with seven thousand pounds a year. The school caters for every child in the community, regardless of ability, aptitude, race, religion or background. Chipping Campden School is truly comprehensive. In 1990 the school celebrated its 550th Anniversary with a weekend of events and a visit by The Princess Royal. The school has a warm, welcoming and caring environment with high expectations of success from its pupils.
