General information

Background: The school was opened in 1932 and has been enlarged over the years. The main part of the school building is u-shaped with an attractive quadrangle of lawn between the adjacent sides of the building. The school is situated on the eastern outskirts of Gloucester and is bordered by a radial road from the City Centre. The pupils are drawn from the adjacent community. There is an extensive playing field to the rear of the school. The school has a large computer suite so that every child uses computer skills for many different curriculum areas. The school offers various after-school clubs, which include breakfast club, Finlay finishing club, football training and matches, art club and gymnastics. The school keenly involves the wider community whenever possible. The school aims to create a climate of mutual respect and to foster a lifelong love of learning. .
