General information

Background: Rednock is a science college in recognition of its excellent results in this area, but also across the curriculum. Through this recognition, the school has been able to build upon its excellent community links, running classes for adults after-school, getting university lecturers in, participating in research for universities, government agencies, funding primary school and community use projects-particularly with information and communication technology equipment. Sporting success is the first XV rugby winning the national competition last year and its other rugby and football teams excelling locally. The football association has recognised its excellence with the award for F.A charter coaching. Girls excel in hockey and netball winning many tournaments locally. Music is strength of the school both in curricular terms and concerts. There are physical education facilities on the main site in the form of additional pitches, a gymnasium and a sports hall. The school is at the heart of the community, engendering excellent relationships and successful partnerships. The school aims to provide caring, inclusive which encourages and prompts students to reach their potential across a wide range of academic, sporting, wider school activities towards excellence for all. The school works hard to form positive and productive partnership with students and parents to ensure a quality education.
