General information
Background: Gordon Primary School was opened in 1904. The school is housed in an Edwardian four-storey building close to the A2 motorway and Eltham station, and is surrounded by prefabricated huts that are used by the adult community college. The playground contains a wildlife garden and a pond. Each classroom has its own computer and there is also a 12-terminal computer room. There are extra-curricular clubs and a private after-school play club which is also attended by pupils from other schools. Over 40 children play regularly in the school band. Pupils from the school have been Greenwich athletics champions and swimming champions several times in recent years.
