Background: Cardinal Pole Roman Catholic School is a voluntary aided 11-19 mixed comprehensive school. It was established on the Kenworthy Road site in 1959 to serve the needs of the Catholic community of Hackney and the surrounding areas. Its aim is to create a caring Christian community that is committed to developing its school through the individual care of children and staff. Most children enjoy and benefit from the activities that are a part of school life. The school offers a variety of sports including: athletics, basketball, netball, football, gymnastics, trampolining and cross-country. The school aims to establish an ongoing commitment to building a Christian community through the individual care of children and staff.
