General information

Background: Built in 1969, the school is located in extensive grounds in a new housing estate. As a community school, it is open for the use of the local community. The local college runs courses for parents, such as 'help your child to learn' and computing. Children produce and deliver the community newsletter to every house on the estate, and raise funds for charity every year. In addition to the full National Curriculum, French is taught. A range of sports and games is offered, especially after school, and footballers are trained regularly by a Manchester City coach. The school was awarded an Activemark in 2000. .
