General information

Background: Park View Academy opened in September 1999. The school has unrivalled opportunities for additional study and support. Challenging personal targets, master classes, mentor schemes and more, ensure that their students are stretched and supported whatever their ability. New facilities and programmes are being created to give opportunities to parents, local businesses and local residents. These include: conference facilities, evening classes, information technology(IT)and Internet training, a cyber café, new courses in languages and the arts and events for local business. The school is a new kind of school, a magnet for the community, creating a meeting place for its students, their families and neighbours, academics and entrepreneurs, artists and sportspeople. Theschool has links with local, national and international businesses. The school aims to raise the aspirations and standards of achievement of all its students, to build a first class learning centre for the whole community and to develop a distinctive and pioneering reputation for the new school.
