General information

Background: Risley Avenue Primary was founded in 1999 following the amalgamation of the infant and junior schools. The facilities surrounding the 1913 school building include two playgrounds and a walled garden. The separate schools enjoyed 'successes' in swimming and cricket competitions and in 1999 a Year 5 class won the Bridisco Education Challenge by designing technology ideas for the 21st century. The NSPCC, Save the Children and Help the Aged were the beneficiaries of pupil's fundraising this year.
