General information
Background: The school is a county, co-educational day school. The site includes a small swimming pool used by local schools, the Harringay Ladder Play Scheme, South Harringay Infant School and Nursery, and South Harringay Junior School. The school council is made up of two pupils from each class. The council members bring issues to the meetings that have been raised by their colleagues in class discussions. The national curriculum requires schools to provide a broad and balanced curriculum with an emphasis on basic literacy and numeracy skills. Pupils use a range of information technology (IT) tools to communicate, investigate and control. The school has extra-curricular activities for football, volleyball, art, dance, chess, karate, basketball, indoor hockey and computers. The school aims to develop happy, sociable and caring individuals, with the desire and confidence to achieve their full academic, aesthetic, moral and physical potential, within a stimulating secure and understanding environment.
